We’ve rebuilt our Kanary software from the ground up. Every part of the codebase has been reworked to better support the growing demands of connected devices.
Instead of running a monolithic application, Kanary now uses a microservices architecture made up of dozens of smaller services. This allows us to improve both performance and scalability as IoT adoption continues to accelerate and more devices come online.
Already we are seeing results from this change. In one case, a customer system that had been offline sent through a backlog of 90,000 events. Previously, this would have taken around 18 hours to process. With the new platform, it takes less than two minutes.
This new structure also means we can build and release new features much faster. It gives us the flexibility to adapt quickly and continue improving the platform based on current customer needs.
Now that the foundation is in place, we’ll be rolling out new updates and capabilities over the coming months.
