Climate Saver Award 2020. In April of last year, we launched the campaign Climate Savers – Lifesavers program (“Klimaretter-Lebensretter”) at our Issum location, which was designed to encourage a more conscious and sustainable use of resources.
Climate saver award 2020. The Germany-wide climate protection project for the healthcare sector was initiated by the viamedica Foundation and supported by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, among others. In the course of the initiative, participants could choose from a range of activities to participate in, such as carpooling, switching off the lights in unused rooms or reducing meat consumption, to avoid the release of climate-damaging CO2 emissions.
At our site in Issum, we presented monthly awards to our climate saver with the highest CO2 savings, thus actively encouraging people to participate. Over the 12 months, our 19 participants achieved a total savings of 8109 kg CO2. These efforts led our team to win 3rd place in the category of small institutions and companies. In total, 88 companies participated in the project.
A big thank you to everyone who participated, and we encourage everyone to continue to participate in daily actions to save CO2 emissions at work and at home.
