MEDICA is the world’s leading trade fair for the medical sector, and this year visitors can expect numerous innovations in the field of digitalization with the ingo-man® SmartNose.
Decades of scientific research suggests that proper hand hygiene is the most important measure for effectively preventing infections. Counteracting the development of increasingly resistant bacterial pathogens is an important global health concern. On this issue hand hygiene is a critical component, particularly in hygiene-sensitive health care facilities. This year, OPHARDT Hygiene (Hall 6, Stand K20) will be presenting its comprehensive hygiene solutions and product innovations for sustainable hand hygiene at the MEDICA trade fair.
Digitalization in the healthcare sector in full swing
The new ingo-man® SmartNose will be OPHARDT Hygiene’s highlight innovation. The compact, retrofittable unit is compatible with all ingo-man® plus dispensers in 500 ml format, making hand hygiene monitoring easier than ever before. The updated face shield can be installed on existing dispensers with just a few simple steps. Additionally, this upgrade is able to record important usage data to improve hygiene compliance. The OPHARDT Hygiene Monitoring System (OHMS) software provides those responsible for hygiene with numerous data points for analysis, allowing for the opportunity to monitor hand hygiene in real time. This technology opens the door for many improvements for hand hygiene compliance and infection prevention in the medical sector.
Another highlight of this innovation is the feedback LED integrated in the spout panel. This allows the user to immediately see whether or not a sufficient dose of hand disinfectant has been dispensed.
Welcoming a new member to the RX range
Visitors will also find the RX 10 M to be a welcome addition to the internationally successful RX range. This 1L dispenser, will expand on the core features of its smaller 500 ml brother: featuring robust ABS plastic housing, simple pump bottle and pump removal and compatability with the manufacturer-independent Euro bottle standard. Combined, these features make the RX 10 M the perfect hygiene dispenser for any medical facility. A hygienic, stainless steel operating lever helps minimize cross contamination.

In addition to this year’s innovations, OPHARDT hygiene’s proven hygiene solutions will be shown in a complete concept. The ingo-man® series for medical professionals will be displayed in an practical medical setting, complete with dispensers, mounting solutions, waste bins, and electronic monitoring software.
