The Dutch start-up dispenser-service.nl and OPHARDT Hygiene have recently started working together. The two companies share a vision of a smart hygiene world. We spoke to company founders Sjors Heldens and Max van Breugel about the partnership and the power of data for hygiene during a visit to one of the first reference projects.
Markus Theißen: Before we talk about the partnership: Can you tell us who dispenser-service.nl is and what your mission is?
Sjors Heldens: Dispenser-service.nl is an innovative hygiene service provider, and what really sets us apart is that we work in a fully data-driven way. Our smart dispensers continuously monitor the use of products like hand soap, paper towels, and toilet paper at our customers’ locations. This allows us to deliver the right products automatically and at just the right time. It ensures that our customers always have enough stock and don’t need to worry about it, while also saving them money and making the whole process more efficient. We stand for transparency, doing what we promise, and taking as much work off our customers’ hands as possible when it comes to hygiene.
Max van Breugel: Our mission is simple: we want to ensure that everyone has a clean and pleasant experience when they visit a hygiene space. Whether it’s a restroom in an office or a public area, it should always be clean and well-stocked.
Our vision is to achieve this by providing the most innovative and sustainable hygiene service. We want to completely relieve companies of the burden of managing their hygiene, allowing them to focus on their core business while we ensure that their hygiene is at the highest level. This contributes to a positive experience for visitors, which ultimately reflects well on the organization.
Markus Theißen: You have decided to use the intelligent dispenser systems from OPHARDT Hygiene. This means that the data supplied by our hygiene dispensers flows into your software via an interface. How did you choose us?
Sjors Heldens: We chose OPHARDT Hygiene because we share the same vision about the future of the hygiene market, especially when it comes to the importance of data. Both of our companies believe that data is the key to optimizing hygiene processes and better serving customers. Plus, OPHARDT is known for the quality of their products, with German engineering that’s truly reliable and built to last. On top of that, the collaboration with you has been great. It really feels like a partnership where we can both grow and strengthen each other.
Markus Theißen: We are sitting here in the very attractive restaurant De Gouden Leeuw, which is one of our first joint reference properties. What experiences can you share?
Max van Breugel: Restaurant De Gouden Leeuw in Sint-Oedenrode was one of our first projects, and it was a special one. It’s a large and chic restaurant, beautifully located at the central square in the heart of the Netherlands. For De Gouden Leeuw, hygiene and appearance are incredibly important, so we were a perfect match for what they needed.
They chose us because we could take over all their stock-level management. With our smart dispensers, they no longer need to manually check their stock – everything is automatically managed, so they always have enough supply without lifting a finger. This also means they no longer have customers coming to the desk complaining about empty dispensers, which improves the overall guest experience and reduces workload for staff. On top of that, we helped them reduce their purchasing costs by 10%. They only pay for what’s actually used, with no waste, making it not only practical but also a financially smart choice for them.
Markus Theißen: Thank you for the interview.
